My name is Muu, or Iru. I am sixteen and a pixel artist. I've made it more than obvious, probably, but I'm a big fan of games, Phoenix Wright in particular.

My style is heavily influenced by both the dolling subculture and 2D video games, among them Castlevania, Disgaea, and Ragnarok Online. I've been doing pixel art for about seven years now, starting with sprite edits then working my way up. Most people say I'm a patient person for my chosen art form, but I think I just have a penchant for monotony, something I blame wholly on the Harvest Moon franchise.

Go adopt my pixels!

On Squiby and etc

Tue Nov 24, 2009, 4:21 AM
I've been asked this a few times in regards to my Squiby adoptables, here is the answer: I'm sorry, but "spoiler" images will not be made available.

Maybe it's hypocritical of me, considering I used to rush so eagerly to Valenth spoilers when they came out, ha ha. However, I spent a great deal of time on the adoptables I have available on Squiby - with the Iopoi in particular I wanted to convey a feeling of 'raising' something from a little egg rather than looking at a page of spoiler images and deciding from there whether or not the pet is pretty enough for you to raise. I like it to be a surprise.

For those who are curious, the initial batch of adoptables (Iopoi, Imiari, and the dragon egg I have laying around in my gallery) were intended to be available on Gaia Online as a pet shop. I have since fallen out of interest with that site, so the project never came to fruition, like many other of my projects. (I still have Edgeworth's half-finished room laying around. Come out in the US already, Gyakuten Kenji!!)

Why don't you upload pets on Squiby anymore?
I really absolutely loved the idea of Squiby at first. And then I... lost my password! Right as my little goobers were starting to get popular too. Squiby, as far as I know, did not and still does not have any password recovery function. I got in contact with the creator of the site herself, DNA, who was very gracious in actually taking the time to try and manually reset my password, though to no avail. So... I still don't have the password to my account. The idea of starting fresh kind of bummed me out.

The other reason I fell out of interest with Squiby is due to the fact that they necessitate you to pay money in order to add extra evolution forms, last I checked. This was rather irritating considering the Iopoi initially had, what - five forms? I had to cut it down to three. Not very happy with that...

For those of you who don't know what the hell I just said: Squiby is a website where users can make their own pets for others to adopt and raise through clicking. Perhaps you've heard of Valenth or Dragon Cave? It's like that, except everyone has the ability to make their own.

In other news, my website is still terrible and unfinished! I have a love-hate relationship with kanji! Against my better judgment I am playing Persona 3! Jeg spiser en katt hver dag! (and I may or may not be sick. /sob)
